This Junmai Daiginjo sake is the product of Komatsu Sake Brewery's wholehearted effort, brewed using 100% "Oita Mii," the rare sake rice that Oita Prefecture takes pride in, polished to 50%. The passion behind this rare rice, which disappeared in the 1960s, is what brought it back to life from just a handful of seed rice. This is a sake that truly embodies the theme, "Sake that can only be made in Oita, sake that is packed with everything about Oita."

The greatest appeal of this sake is its gentle ginjo aroma and rich flavor that fills the mouth. The deep sweetness and umami of the rice are clearly conveyed, but the aftertaste is surprisingly crisp and leaves a pleasant lingering aftertaste. Although it has an alcohol content of 16 degrees, it is also characterized by its smoothness that makes it easy to drink.

"Houjun Junmai Daiginjo Oita Mii" was created to be compatible with modern, diverse food cultures, and was designed to be particularly compatible with oily and strongly flavored dishes.
