Mifuku Japanese Sake Plum Wine 720ml
"Mitokyu Sake Brewed Umeshu" is a special plum wine made with fresh plums from Shiga Prefecture, carefully brewed by Mitokyu Sake Brewery, and steeped in a basement over the summer. The use of pure sake as a base creates a very mellow and deep flavor that sets it apart from ordinary plum wines.
Although the alcohol content is 9%, which is a little high for plum wine, it is surprisingly gentle on the palate and melts in your mouth. It is rich, yet the refined flavor of the sake blends with the refreshing acidity and pleasant sweetness of the plum, creating an exquisite balance.
Another appeal of this plum wine is that it can be enjoyed in a variety of ways. You can enjoy its deep flavor on the rocks with slowly melting ice, or mix it with soda to enjoy the refreshing flavor of the plum. In the cold season, we also recommend mixing it with hot water to warm your body and be soothed by the warm aroma of the plum and sake.
Not only is it great for everyday use as a drink with meals, but it is also perfect as a dessert wine after a meal. Its fine taste and beautiful amber color also make it a great present or gift, or a souvenir to take home when you visit Shiga Prefecture. Please enjoy this deep plum wine made with pure rice sake from Mifuku Sake Brewery.

Rather than using modern simplified manufacturing methods, they brew their local sake using the traditional natural brewing method known as "Yamahai Shikomi," which uses lactic acid bacteria found in nature, and the "Ginjo Shikomi," which represents the pinnacle of modern technology.
