Kamishiko Sake Brewery Kokage no Sakana 720ml
"Kage no Sakana" (Fish in the Shadow of a Tree), brewed by Kamishin Shuzo in Asakuchi City, Okayama Prefecture, is a low-alcohol Junmai sake with an alcohol content of 13%. This special Junmai sake was developed with the aim of making it accessible to those new to sake and women, and its name was chosen to express the desire to have people spend their time relaxing like a fish cooling off in the shade of a tree.
Its greatest feature is its gorgeous, sweet aroma reminiscent of apricots. You can enjoy a unique fruity aroma not found in conventional sake, and a mellow, gentle sweetness spreads in your mouth. By keeping the alcohol content at 13%, the alcoholic feeling that is unique to sake is softened, resulting in a finish that is easy to drink. The taste retains the rice flavor typical of pure rice sake, but it is clean to drink and has a refreshing aftertaste.
It is recommended to drink it chilled, and it has the versatility to be enjoyed both as an aperitif and with a meal. It goes particularly well with light dishes and Western cuisine, and offers a new taste experience that overturns the traditional concept of sake. It is an innovative low-alcohol pure rice sake that will make a great gift for those who are not familiar with sake.
<Staff recommendation points>
It also goes well with citrus fruits. We recommend serving it chilled in a wine glass as a dessert drink!
